Howard Bates

Howard Bates is an active investor in venture capital and private equity ventures. Prior to his investing activities, Mr. Bates was a founding partner of Haverstick Consulting, Inc., which he formed in 1994. Since that time, Mr. Bates helped grow Haverstick Consulting to nearly $100 million in annual revenues. In 2007, Haverstick Consulting merged with Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. a leading national defense, information technology, and homeland security solutions provider. Before serving as Chief Executive Officer at Haverstick, Mr. Bates held a variety of leadership roles in sales, marketing, and consulting services during his 14-year career at Digital Equipment Corporation. He has extensive industry experience in working directly with military, state and federal government agencies, as well as commercial customers.

Mr. Bates earned an MBA from Xavier University and a Bachelor’s degree from Wright State University.
